Democrats are not those who care about the interests of the few '

To the editor: Columnist Jonah Goldberg writes that the Democratic Party is “a disaster” because it is perceived quite more concerned about the interests of the few and less concerned about the well -being and rights of the many “(“Perhaps the last Democratic disarrust means that they are reaching their senses,” June 17). Then define the “few”, at least in part, as the unions of teachers and employees of the government.

Unfortunately, Goldberg loses the general panorama. It is the Republican Party that constantly gives tax cuts to the rich and corporations while providing lips service to the middle class and are openly hostile to the poor. It is the Republican Party that seems to hate unions: the economic movement that has benefited the middle class and the working class. It is the Republican Party that is hostile to anything that helps consumers and the environment. It is the Republican Party that wants to dismantle Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Low Price Health Care Law, Food Coupons for Children, the Office of Financial Protection of the Consumer and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Donald Trump cheated millions of Americans to believe he is a populist who is looking for his interests. The Efficiency of the White House Government reduces the financing and government services for programs that help the middle class and the poor, and now Trump is looking for tax cuts for the rich and corporations. Trump's “great beautiful bill” will do more of the same. It should be obvious that Trump and Republicans are not worried about “the well -being and rights of the many.”
