A woman who had accused Sean “Diddy” combs and Jay-Z to violate her at a party at the house after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 launched their demand against the two men on Friday.
The judicial documents presented in the Federal Court of New York said Friday that the lawsuit had been “voluntarily dismissed with prejudice.” It cannot be said again. The new presentation occurs months after Jay-Z's lawyers, whose real name is Shawn Carter, asked a judge to discard the complaint, citing inconsistencies in the history of women.
Hip-Hop's magnate lawyer, Alex Spiro, said in a statement that the “false case” against Jay-Z “should never have been brought.” He added that his client had not paid the accuser to resolve the case.
“When standing in the face of atrocious and false accusations, Jay has done what few can: he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid a red penny, triumphed and cleared his name,” Spiro said.
The lawsuit was initially filed against combs in October, accusing him of raping a 13 -year -old girl at a party at the house after the music awards full of stars. In December, the complaint was amended to add Jay-Z as accused. The complaint alleged that the two men turned to assault her, that Jay-Z and Combs have repeatedly denied.
Jay-Z said in a statement on Friday that the accusations in the lawsuit were “frivolous, fictitious and frightening.”
“This civil demand was without merit and I was never going anywhere,” he said. “The fictitious story they created was ridiculous, if it was not for the seriousness of the statements. I would not want this experience in anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, my loved ones and I have endured can never be discarded. ”
His statement continued to say that an NBC news investigation in December found inconsistencies in the claimant's history:
“The plaintiff originally told NBC News that he spoke with the musician Benji Madden in the posterior match where the alleged assault took place, but a representative of Benji and his brother Joel confirmed to the publication that none of the brothers attended the VMA 2000 because they were on the tour in the west. In addition, the plaintiff said that his father picked her up after the alleged assault, but he denied his account, telling NBC News that “he cannot verify the statements.”

An expanding federal accusation alleges that combs used their power for decades to force victims to have sex in meetings known as “monsters.” Combs, who has denied having acted badly, was arrested last September after almost a year of investigations by federal authorities. Remains in custody in Brooklyn pending judgment.
There have been suggestions that other big names will be swept in the scandal. But federal prosecutors have not appointed any conspirator nor have they said that none of combs' alleged victims were minor.
The lawsuit that was eliminated on Friday was one of the 40 civil lawsuits filed against the combs, but it was the only one who appointed an alleged accomplice of the list A. The lawyer Tony Buzbee, who presented more than two dozen demands against the combs against the combs , including the dismissal, declined to comment.
The combs lawyers said in a statement that the dismissal was “another confirmation that these demands are based on falsehoods, not made.”
“Whether combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked with anyone: man or woman, adult or minor,” said the statement. “No number of demands, sensationalized accusations or media theater will change that reality.”
