Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele weighed in Thursday on where she thinks Bill Belichick could end up following his departure from the New England Patriots after 24 years.

As reports emerged about Belichick leaving the Patriots, rumors began to circulate about the coach's next steps.

The Atlanta Falcons, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers were among the speculated landing spots for the six-time Super Bowl champion head coach.

Steele appeared on “Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich” and spoke with fill-in host Michele Tafoya about where she thought Belichick might land.

“To me, Atlanta sounds good today, but who knows what will happen at 6 o'clock,” Steele said. “And then you heard the conversations about Arthur Blank, and he always likes to go big or go home. You could see he fit in.

“It's very interesting because I think about Las Vegas and what happens there. And there's talk about, 'What does Tom Brady want? What's going on with Vrabel? Vrabel's not in Tennessee anymore.' Those guys have always been guys of the era. of the Patriots, right? He's going to the Raiders? What about (Jim) Harbaugh?

“I think it's going to be fascinating to watch, but it's very strange because of the legendary NFL coaches who just walked away or made changes in organizations. Right now, there's talk about Atlanta. Maybe he goes west? Atlanta also needs a quarterback, right?

“Part of me wants him to relax. But I don't think he'll be able to.”

Belichick gave no indication of his next steps, but team owner Robert Kraft seemed to expect he would compete against Belichick in the future.

“It will be hard to see him in a hoodie on the sideline, but I will always wish him continued success, except when he plays against our beloved Patriots,” Kraft said at the end of his news conference Thursday.
