A Florida man was caught on video making “earth angels” at a construction site while officers searched for him after leaving the scene of an accident on Christmas Eve.
Shortly after 7 p.m., deputies said the driver, who was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Tampa, fled the scene of the crash before authorities arrived, according to a social media post by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers identified the driver as Eliezer Armando Reyes Ríos, 34, who they said fled the scene and ended up climbing a fence toward a large construction site.
While fleeing from deputies, Reyes Ríos was seen on video by the sheriff’s Aviation Unit, lying in a pile of dirt, and began doing what officials described as “earth angels.” He was also seen making calls from his phone.
