Travis Kelce called Taylor Swift “the best thing ever” after visiting her in Australia.
In the most recent episode of his podcast new heights, the 34-year-old NFL player told his co-host and older brother Jason Kelce all about his most recent adventure in Australia. On February 23, Travis took a trip to visit his pop star girlfriend while she was performing in Sydney for the Australian leg of her world tour. Jason asked about his trip and said, “Trav, what the hell is your life like right now?”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end responded: “There's a lot of fake media being put out there, but I'll tell you what wasn't fake: when I landed in Australia and saw all the cameras.”
The power couple was spotted sightseeing at Sydney Zoo, and in footage obtained by Australia's Channel 9, they could be seen holding hands while taking a private tour of the park. Throughout their date, they hand-fed some of the kangaroos and also met some koalas. They were reportedly joined by some of the singer's backup dancers. Travis noticed that throughout their date at the zoo, paparazzi followed them in helicopters.
“There were helicopters flying around,” he revealed. “They took us by helicopter. Well, not us, Taylor. “This is all because Taylor is as big and as good as it gets.”
In addition to the paparazzi capturing his every move from afar, Travis said he had a great time with the “Cruel Summer” singer watching all the wildlife.
“I saw a tiger sitting in a tree house, that shit was fucking sweet, I'm not gonna lie,” Travis recalled. “I saw a lion up close. Dude, that's… when you hear that, because Taylor took the photo. [roar sounds], you're like, 'Oh my God.' Not to mention one, you see three of them running from their rock, their position, knowing that they are about to be fed. You see how fast and agile that thing is, man, it's over. It's over. You can tell that one was like the big bad, I was like damn. “That's a bad man.”
And he added: “It was fun. That was fun. And then we were able to enjoy the Taylor Swift show.”
That night's show was delayed due to rain and a nearby lightning strike, according to a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, a small lightning strike couldn't stop the “Karma” singer from taking the stage and performing to a record 81,000 concertgoers.
Swift gave her boyfriend sweet shout-outs throughout the night, including using a line from her song “Karma” that she dedicated to Travis when she attended one of his concerts in Argentina. She sang, “Karma is the Chiefs guy.” At one point, she also pointed him out and sang the lyrics “That's my man” while performing his song “Willow” from her 2020 album. folklore.
