Fans Freak Over Upcoming Devil Wears Prada Reunion at 2024 SAG Awards


Fans are eagerly awaiting the next cast reunion ofThe Devil Wears Prada at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

For the 30th annual ceremony, scheduled for February 24 at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, a special group has been added to the list of presenters, and film fans couldn't be more excited. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt will reunite once again, gracing the stage as the iconic trio from the famous 2006 fashion drama.

In the film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's novel, Streep takes on the role of Miranda Priestly, a character inspired by FashionAnna Wintour, long-time editor-in-chief. Hathaway plays Andrea Sachs, Priestly's assistant, the character encouraged by Weisberger when she was Wintour's assistant. And finally, Blunt plays the red-headed “first” assistant who tries very hard to please Priestly.

Since its release, this moving comedy has been assumed to be the marker of what it is like to work at a fashion magazine. Some fans dream of living Andrea's life, while others fear the idea. Anyway, it's been 17 years and many still appreciate the film.

When news broke about Streep, Hathaway and Blunt meeting at the awards show, fans took to social media and admitted they were elated.

Although fans are awaiting news of a sequel, the War of brides The star previously confessed that he didn't think a second film would “work” now.

In response to The view Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked if a sequel was in the works, Hathaway responded, “I don't know if there can be.”

“I just think that movie was in a different time. Now everything has become so digital and that film was focused on the concept of producing something physical, and now it's very different,” he continued in the 2022 interview.
