Childish Gambino releases album 'Atavista' and announces tour


Childish Gambino will embark on a world tour in August, four years after first releasing his album “3.15.20,” which was reissued on Sunday.

The multihyphenate, better known as Donald Glover in the film and television industry, released a new version of his 2020 album “3.15.20” under his original name, “Atavista,” which he called “the finished version” of his fourth studio album. .

Gambino's New World Tour, his first since 2019, will include stops in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and will feature Amaarae and Willow on select dates. Pre-sale begins Wednesday and general sales begin Friday.

The “Community” alum and “Atlanta” star kicks off the tour on August 11 in Oklahoma City and arrives in Los Angeles on September 18 and 19, where he will play Crypto.com Arena with Willow. His other California show will be on September 21 in San Francisco, where he will play at the Chase Center with Amaarae. Gambino concludes the North American leg of the tour in Chicago in October, then heads to France, Europe and then Australia and New Zealand. The tour is scheduled to end in Perth, Australia in February 2025.
