Former US President Donald Trump appeared devastated by the testimony of his former fixer Michael Cohen, who had been at the center of the hush money trial involving adult film star Stormy Daniels.
The presumptive Republican nominee's former attorney took the stand Monday and revealed insider goings-on surrounding the business mogul and his extramarital affairs.
Donald Trump was accused last year in March of falsifying business records to pay $130,000 to Stormy Daniels in 2016, after having an alleged sexual encounter after marrying Melania Trump in 2006.
As testimony continued, Cohen mentioned the name of American football quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, also called Big Ben, who retired from the sport in 2022.
Cohen, during the six-hour-long testimony, also claimed that Trump, 77, once said he “was playing golf with Big Ben Roethlisberger … and that they had met Stormy Daniels and others there.”
The former lawyer said that according to Trump, “women preferred the Republican even to someone like Big Ben.”
Cohen also claimed that his former boss “…wasn't thinking about Melania Trump. It was all about the campaign…”
Daniels also mentioned the name of the 42-year-old, who said the quarterback was present with Trump during one of their initial meetings.
Trump is running for reelection and also faces three other allegations related to withholding classified documents after leaving the Oval Office, instigating his supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and interfering in the Georgia election in 2020.
