Kamala Harris' husband admits to past affair during election campaign

Douglas Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has officially admitted to having an affair during his first marriage to his wife, Kerstin Emhoff.

The 59-year-old man cheated on his wife more than 15 years ago with his family's nanny, Najen Naylor, CNN reported.

According to sources, there are rumors that Naylor became pregnant; however, she decided not to keep the baby.

Speaking exclusively with CNNEmhoff shed light on all the details of his affair.

“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through difficult times because of my actions.”

He admitted to having an affair with a blonde nanny who taught at a private school attended by his two children. “I took responsibility and in the years since then we have worked through things as a family and come out stronger,” he continued.

However, the husband of the Democratic candidate for the upcoming elections did not specifically mention Naylor's name or directly address the pregnancy rumors.

Additionally, Biden's running mate declined to comment on validating the ongoing rumor about her husband during an interview with CNN.

Emhoff cleared himself of wrongdoing before marrying Harris in 2014, and sources say their romance ended before his involvement with the vice president.

Speaking to The Daily MailNaylor has not spoken openly about her relationship with Emhoff.

“I’m really scared right now,” she replied.

Meanwhile, former couple Kerstin and Emhoff share two children, Cole, 29, and Ella, 25. The kids have a healthy relationship with their stepmother, whom they affectionately call “Momola.”
