Asia's richest centibillionaire is in the headlines again as he, along with his wife Nita Ambani, host another pre-wedding celebration for the couple, but this time they will let loose on a cruise around Italy.
According Luxury releasesThe Indian billionaire has rented a 300-meter-long cruise ship, one of the largest in the world, known as Celebrity Ascent.
It is one of Celebrity Cruises' Edge-class ships, measuring as long as an aircraft carrier, built in 2023.
The second stage of the pre-wedding event will take place between May 29 and June 1 in Italy and France.
The ship with 16 passenger decks will accommodate at least 600 A-list guests of the Ambani clan and take them to Cannes and Portofino.
The venue has capacity for almost 4,000 guests served by a team of 1,400 people.
Guests of the Ambanis would have access to the finest cabins and suites, including AquaClass SkySuites and Iconic Suite, which provide access to the ship's Thermal Spa and Blu clean cuisine restaurant.
The cruise ship also features opulent two-story Edge Villas, with living rooms and bathtubs on the first floor and bedrooms on the second.
According Luxury releasesCelebrity Ascent has 18 restaurants, but given the Ambanis' penchant for extravagance, they would no doubt bring in Michelin-starred chefs from around the world to cook up culinary masterpieces.
Amenities include a world-class spa, The Club, a nightclub space adjacent to The Theater and a brand new gaming room with state-of-the-art slot machines.
