With almost 750 suspected cases of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, health measures were intensified along the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. At the busy Mpondwe crossing, near the outbreak areas in Beni, authorities deployed health workers and closed weekly border markets, measures that residents say threaten their livelihoods.
