Donald Trump, former president of the United States and leading Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, launched his own line of tennis shoes, called “Trump Sneakers.”

He said, “I've wanted to do this for a long time” at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia, where he introduced his sneaker brand.

“I think it's going to be a huge success because I work with amazing people who came up with this,” he continued.

According NBC NewsDuring the sneaker launch event, Trump expressed his interest in connecting with his younger self through his sneaker line.

He said, “We're going to change this country quickly. We're going to remember the young people and we're going to remember Sneaker Con.”

Trump sneakers come in three unique designs: a pair of high-top sneakers, a pair of red slip-on sneakers, and a pair of white slip-on sneakers.

The high-tops, which are gold and emblazoned with a “T” on the outside of each shoe, are called “never give up high-tops” and are priced at $399 online.

The purchase of a pair of sneakers includes additional laces and a Trump “superhero charm.”

The release comes a day after a New York judge ordered Trump to pay $354.9 million in fines for fraudulently exaggerating his net worth to deceive lenders.

The website that sells the sneakers also offers perfume and cologne for sale. However, sales of cologne, perfume and sneakers are not related to either the Trump Organization or Trump's presidential campaign.

CIC Ventures LLC has been granted a license to use the former president's name, image and likeness to market the sneakers.

While the release of these shoes excited some, others seemed unimpressed as Trump received boos and jeers for his announcement.
