Authorities in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, are searching for suspects after shootings at three separate locations that killed one person and injured three others, forcing officials to impose a lockdown.

Jacksonville Beach was filled with hundreds of people celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Police have not arrested anyone so far.

According to local media News4JaxJacksonville Beach Police Chief Gene Paul Smith said, “The incident began Sunday with a gathering of 250 to 400 people between the ages of 10 and 20 below the pier.”

Around 8 p.m., officers had to disperse the crowd when they began to engage in fights and boxing matches, he said, adding that “when the crowd broke up, two young men shot at each other on the boardwalk near the “Best Western.”

During the shooting, one of the two shooters was wounded.

The second shooting occurred at 8:13 p.m. when a man wearing a balaclava was seen running past a bar holding a gun and shooting.

The third incident was reported after 8:30 pm in the parking lot of Sneakers Bar and Grille. One person died at the scene when a person who had witnessed a disturbance was shot.

Smith said witnesses told investigators that three men were involved in a “disturbance” and pulled out guns, but only one fired. A 21-year-old young man died at the scene.
