War between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, attack on Rafah and rocket fire against Tel Aviv

More than 20 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza overnight, nine of them in the southern city of Rafah, according to medical sources.

An Israeli airstrike on the Barbarah refugee camp in central Rafah killed one person, the Kuwait Specialized Hospital in the western part of the city said.

In the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, three people, including a pregnant woman, were reportedly killed following an Israeli attack on a house belonging to the Abu Shabika family that was housing internally displaced people, the hospital said.

Five more people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in western Rafah, the hospital added.

Injuries were also reported following attacks on the Yabna refugee camp in Rafah, including damage to five houses, according to the Kuwait Specialized Hospital.

In northern Gaza, five people were killed and several others injured following Israeli airstrikes on the Batran family home, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza.

Nine people were killed, including four children and a woman, in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza during Israeli artillery shelling, according to Al Awda Hospital and Al Aqsa Martyrs.

The hospital added that other people were injured after an Israeli airstrike on the Halaw family home, which is also located in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Also in central Gaza, a child died after the Israeli bombardment of the Bureij refugee camp, the Al Aqsa Martyrs hospital added.
