Los Angeles police officers responded to a hoax bomb threat at former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Brentwood mansion on Thanksgiving morning before giving the all-clear.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson could not confirm that the department responded to Schwarzenegger's home, but said there was a call about a suspicious package around 10:30 a.m. Thursday on the same block in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood. where the movie star and former Mr. Universe lives.

“It was determined that there was no evidence of any explosives,” Los Angeles Police Officer Kevin Terzes said of the police response. The bomb threat was first reported by TMZ, which characterized it as a “hit” incident, in which perpetrators initiate an emergency law enforcement response against a victim under false pretenses.

Terzes was unable to provide any information about who made the call. Schwarzenegger's spokesman declined to comment.

Schwarzenegger was at the gym during the incident, according to someone with knowledge of the situation who was not authorized to speak publicly.

Schwarzenegger has long lived in Brentwood and made headlines last year when he took it upon himself to fix some potholes in the neighborhood, an action that was not authorized by the city, which responded that at least one of the now-filled potholes was a service.
