A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy was injured Friday night after accidentally shooting himself while drawing his gun, Sheriff's Department officials said Saturday.
The officer was wounded in the lower torso, authorities said. The unintentional discharge occurred around 10 p.m. at the Temple City sheriff's station, authorities said.
Authorities said the officer was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was in stable condition Saturday morning.
