A helicopter carrying six people crashed in San Bernardino County Friday night near the Nevada border, authorities said.
A Eurocopter EC 130 helicopter crashed east of Highway 15 near Nipton, California, around 10 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. There were six people on board.
It is unknown if any of the passengers survived.
No further details were available about the origin of the helicopter's flight or its destination.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident.
