A brief cameo by former Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., on Prime Video's “Jury Duty: Company Retreat” is taking some viewers by surprise following allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct that led to his resignation.
“That's crazy,” one user wrote on X, saying she didn't realize that the former congressman, whom she called “disgraced,” had appeared as an instructor on the show.
On Threads, one user described watching Swalwell on the show as “a little awkward.”
Another, responding to someone who had asked why no one had expressed concern about Swalwell's appearance, said they were glad his air time was so “cut.”

According to entertainment news platform Decider, Swalwell's appearance occurred around the 18-minute mark of episode 8 of “Company Retreat.”
None of the seminar that Swalwell teaches appears in the episode, but he does appear in front of the cast and asks if anyone has questions, the outlet added.
After calling out a character who asks, “Can you talk about the corrosive influence of money in politics?” Swalwell puts his hands in his pockets and lets out a sigh.

His full response was said to have been shortened for time.
Filming on the show wrapped about two years before recent allegations against Swalwell surfaced, Decider said.
Amazon did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Swalwell's rare appearance became a topic of conversation as the former congressman faces a series of allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct from multiple women who recently came forward to share their experiences.
Following the accusations, Swalwell suspended his campaign for governor of california and resigned from his position in Congress.
While he denied allegations of misconduct, he admitted to making mistakes in the past.

“I am deeply sorry to my family, my staff and my constituents for the errors in judgment I made in the past,” Swalwell said in a statement announcing his resignation..
“I will fight the serious and false accusations made against me. However, I must take responsibility and accountability for the mistakes I made.”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating the multiple allegations against Swalwell, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The district attorneys of Los Angeles and New York have also launched their respective investigations.
