A 13-year-old Disneyland guest was medically evaluated after exiting an attraction vehicle and sliding down the final 50-foot jump of Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

The incident occurred Sunday at Tiana's Bayou Adventure, one of Disneyland's log flume rides, according to a Disneyland spokesperson.

The child exited the vehicle before the final descent of the attraction. A cast member immediately stopped the ride and the teen was later taken to a local hospital for evaluation, the spokesperson said.

A Reddit user who was on the ride at the time claimed that several passengers saw the boy fall moments before the ride stopped.

“He tried to get out of the vehicle at the top of the last drop,” another user wrote. “The gear stop mechanism was not activated or had already exceeded the threshold for the vehicle to go into free fall.”
