Fans criticized Simone Biles for wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket while rooting for her Chicago Bears player husband at a game.

Shortly after winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the 27-year-old Olympic gymnast appeared on the sidelines of Chicago's Soldier Field to cheer on her husband of more than a year, Owens.

She sported a special jacket featuring multiple black-and-white images of Owens from his days playing for the Green Bay Packers along with reflective, wraparound silver sunglasses, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga mesh bag.

However, much to the ire of Bears fans, the fleece jacket she was wearing also had her former team's logo emblazoned across its shoulders, leading many to criticize the gymnast for wearing the wrong merchandise.

“Obviously she supports her husband Jonathan Owens and is a top Olympian so she gets a pass…but it's still one of the oldest rivalries in all of football and she rocks #GoPackGo logos lol,” The Athletic's Chase Daniel posted on X, formerly Twitter.

“Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering on the Bears,” wrote one deeply offended Bears fan. “Yes, yes, I get it, her husband played for the Packers and it’s an Owens-themed jacket, but this is wrong.”

“Free her husband now!” one angry fan commented, while another added: “She is ridiculously oblivious to what is going on around her and it is an insult to her husband.”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, her husband played for the Packers and it's an Owens-themed jacket, but this is wrong,” someone commented.

“With all due respect, Simone Biles needs to throw that jacket away ASAP,” added another user, shocked that she got away with wearing another team’s logo. “How could she walk in with that?”

Biles eventually showed up for the Chicago Bears' exhibition game against the Cincinnati Bengals to support Owens, who was signed by the team in March as a safety on a two-year contract worth an estimated $4.5 million. The franchise reportedly allowed him five days off from preseason training to watch his wife wow the world with her jaw-dropping gymnastics moves at the Paris Olympics.

Before the match began, fans watched the seven-time Olympic gold medalist pace the sidelines in a walking boot as she recovered from a calf injury in her left leg that she has suffered since the Olympic trials and throughout international competition. Earlier, she said NBC Sports The boot was a “precautionary” measure.
