Taste Atlas has recently released the list of the 100 best dishes in the world, and among them are four iconic Indian dishes.

Murgh Makhani was ranked 29th in the list of top 100 dishes in the world, followed by Hyderabadi Biryani at 31st, and Chicken 65 and Keema at 97th and 100th respectively.

Murgh Makhani – Also known as butter chicken, this delicious dish is made of roasted meat, lots of spices and a rich sauce of cream, tomatoes and butter. It is garnished with butter, cilantro or green chilies and is usually savored with naan (a type of Indian bread).

Hyderabadi biryani: Comprised of basmati rice, mutton or chicken, onions, exotic spices, lemon, coriander and saffron, this aromatic and fragrant dish is a heavenly cuisine that is loved by people of all ages.

Chicken 65: Another Indian dish that made it to the list is this classic poultry dish. It is made of fried chicken marinated in lemon, ginger, red chilies and a variety of spices.

Keema: At number 100 we have Keema. This stew or curry made with minced lamb or goat meat, potatoes, ginger, chili, peas, onions, garlic, garam masala and ghee is best served with pav rolls, naan and other flatbreads. Some also use keema as a filling for samosas and parathas.

In this prestigious ranking, the Colombian dish Lechona took first place. It is a traditional dish consisting of a whole roast pig stuffed with yellow peas, green onions, fresh herbs and spices.

According to TasteAtlas, Pizza Napoletana from Italy, Picanha from Brazil, Rechta from Algeria, Phanaeng Curry from Thailand, Asado from Argentina, Cokertme Kebab from Turkey, Rawon from Indonesia, Cag Kebab from Turkey and Tibs from Ethiopia were the nine main cuisines.
