Social media went crazy after rumors surfaced that King Charles would make a cameo in the upcoming Deadpool and WolverineHowever, the rumor was put to rest when Hugh Jackman ruled out any royal family members being in the film.
Appearing in Tonight's show starring Jimmy FallonThe 55-year-old actor said: “A lot of people here aren’t in the movie,” adding: “Jimmy, you’re not in the movie,” noting: “I know you’re shocked, but you’ve been cut out. I’m sorry.”
“There was a genuine rumour that circulated for a long time and I can guarantee that he is not in the film: that is King Charles.”
After ruling out some popular names from the cameo list, the Australian star joked: “I said I wouldn't do Wolverine again. You can't believe a word I say.”
The Marvel movie is said to be packed with mind-blowing cameos and some on the Internet believed that Taylor Swift, a close friend of Ryan Reynolds, would be in it.
“If I ever stop, she'd be a good Deadpool,” he said. Green star Lantern featured on the evening show.
Commenting on the much-talked-about cameos, Ryan said these appearances were part of the story rather than random celebrity appearances to please fans.
“There are surprises. I would say the people who appear in the film,” he continued.
“I have no idea how we've managed to keep it a secret, given the Internet and all that. But I'd say they're more like surprises.”
