USDA using the 'marriage story' argument scene to horrify the wolves

The United States Department of Agriculture is using the audio of an argument scene between Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver of the Noah Baumbach's film 2019 “History of marriage” Scare the wolves away from cattle.

After the wild animals killed 11 cows for a period of 20 days in Oregon, the USDA began to deploy quadcopters that used thermal cameras to reveal wolves in the dark, according to the Wall Street Journal. When drones detect predators, they realize and emit alarming sounds of the speakers to scare them.

“I need the wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad,” Paul Wolf, supervisor of the USDA district, told WSJ.

The USDA also uses the sound of fireworks and shots to scare wild animals. Since they started using “wolf novatadas” in Oregon, only two cows were killed in 85 days, according to the WSJ. The USDA declined answering questions of the times.

The scene that is used involves Nichole (Johansson) and Charlie (driver) exchanging verbal blows to each other. “Marriage Story” follows a couple who divorces and struggles for the custody of their son.

Netflix released the film, written and directed by Baumbach, in 2019. He was nominated for six Oscar, including one to the best film. Both Johansson and the driver obtained nominations for their actions.
