Harrison Butker, Travis Kelce's teammate, mentioned that Taylor Swift in her graduation speech at Benedictine College generated controversy because she denounced new and growing opinions on gender equality.
Meanwhile, the NFL tight end quickly distanced himself from the Kansas City Chiefs' opinion on kickers, saying he disagreed with “almost nothing” in their May 11 speech.
Addressing the controversy on his podcast, he said he “appreciates him as a teammate,” but “when it comes to his views and what he said at St. Benedict's commencement speech… Those are his, not I can say that I agree.” with most or almost any part.”
He continued: “Outside of him, he loves his family and his children. I don't think you should judge him by his views, especially his religious views.”
He added: “I grew up in a beautiful upbringing of different social classes, different religions, different races and ethnicities in Cleveland Heights.”
