Joaquin Phoenix played a very funny prank on his… Joker: Madness in two mother of the co-star.
In an interview with Variety Magazine, Harry Lawtey, who plays Harvey Dent, shared a hilarious incident from rehearsals.
Lawtey revealed that Phoenix, who was in full Joker makeup, “suggested, as a joke, that we FaceTime my mom and scare her.”
He You and I The actor added: “My mum was in England so it was quite late and she was getting ready for bed. I said 'Hi' and then I put the phone up to my face and Joaquin rested his head on my shoulder.”
“My mom screamed, ran out and woke up my dad,” she said hilariously.
During the same interview, Lawtey also praised Phoenix's intense commitment to his role in the film, describing it as “a masterclass.”
“Watching him laugh like that and seeing the effect it had on him and everyone just blew me away. He was coughing after every take. It was very instructive to see him go through different shades and nuances of that performance,” she said.
Joker: Madness of two, Also starring Lady Gaga in addition to Phoenix and Lawtey, it is scheduled for release on October 4.
