'Harry Potter' Franchise Expected to Launch TV Series of Hit Fantasy Film
Harry Potter is set to return to small screens in 2026 in the form of a TV series that will be available to stream on Max.
As reported by VarietyThe first installment of the hit movie's TV show is expected to hit the OTT streaming service in 2026.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav revealed that the upcoming series would have seven seasons, each of which will be an adaptation of JK Rowling's best-selling fantasy books.

Reflecting on how the last Harry Potter The Warner Bros. Pictures film was released more than a dozen years ago, Zaslav said: “We have not been shy about our enthusiasm for Harry Potter.”
Zaslav also revealed that he met with author JK Rowling about the show along with Warner Bros. Television president Channing Dungey, as well as HBO and Max content chief Casey Bloys.
“We spent a lot of time with JK and his team. Both parties are thrilled to reignite this franchise. Our conversations were great and we couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead,” Zaslav said.
He Harry Potter The cast of the television series has not yet been announced; However, Warner Bros. Television has said it will feature an entirely new cast.
