Sydney Sweeney responds to criticism in new vacation snaps

Sydney Sweeney won't let critics ruin a vacation full of “good times and tan lines.”

That's how the “Madame Web” and “Immaculate” actor captioned a post on Sunday that could be interpreted as a subtle response to producer Carol Baum's disparaging comments about his talent and appearance earlier this month.

The “Euphoria” actress posted a series of photos from her Hawaii vacation on her Instagram, including several of her wearing a gray crewneck sweatshirt that reads “Sorry I Have a Big T—.”

At a recent screening of Baum's 1988 film “Dead Ringers,” the producer said Sweeney's hit romantic comedy “Anyone But You” is “invisible” and that the star “wasn't pretty” and “couldn't act.” .

Sweeney, producer of the film also starring Glenn Powell, and her team immediately condemned Baum's statements.

“How sad that a woman in a position to share her knowledge and experience would decide to attack another woman,” a spokesperson for Sweeney told The Times. “If that's what she's learned over her decades in the industry and she thinks it's appropriate to teach it to her students, it's embarrassing.”

The Emmy-nominated actress is no stranger to unwarranted comments about her body. The Internet exploded with chatter about her figure after her debut as host of “Saturday Night Live” last month, sparking a debate about whether her curves were the “death of waking up.”

“I just can't afford to have a reaction,” Sweeney told Variety. “People feel connected and free to talk about me however they want, because they believe that I have signed my life. “That I am no longer on a human level, because I am an actor.”

The “White Lotus” star doesn't let the speech affect her or the way she lives her life.

“I am such a homebody that life stays the same for me. I just hang out with my dog, my family and my close friends,” she said in a recent interview with The Times. “There are just more people who say hello to me when I go out.”
