Skai Jackson arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

Disney Channel star Skai Jackson could face a misdemeanor charge after being arrested last week at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

The “Jessie” and “Bunk’d” actress was arrested on Aug. 9 on suspicion of domestic violence after security noticed her and her boyfriend getting into a physical fight at the theme park, which is adjacent to the Universal CityWalk shopping and dining district.

“[W]“A domestic incident involving Skai Jackson occurred inside Universal Studios Theme Park,” a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said Tuesday. “Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that Ms. Jackson was the primary aggressor and she was arrested for misdemeanor spousal battery.”

Jackson, 22, was then transported to the West Hollywood station for booking.

According to Page Six and TMZ, security at the venue called police after claiming to have seen Jackson push her boyfriend. Security detained the couple until local authorities arrived and reviewed security footage, which allegedly showed Jackson had pushed her boyfriend twice.

Jackson was arrested at 5:50 p.m. and booked at 6:30 p.m., according to sheriff's jail records. Her bond was set at $20,000 and she was cited and released a few hours later.

The “Bubble Guppies” voice actress and her boyfriend reportedly denied any physical contact during the incident and Jackson allegedly claimed they are happily engaged and expecting a baby together.

A representative for Jackson did not immediately respond to The Times' request for comment Tuesday.

Sheriff's officials said the investigation is ongoing and will be sent to Van Nuys Superior Court for filing.
