Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively surprised fans with her unexpected role as Lady Deadpool in Deadpool and Wolverine.
After weeks of speculation, with many assuming Taylor Swift might play the role, Lively's casting surprised many.
During the conversation about the I'm not skinny but not fat either On the podcast, Reynolds talked about how Lively ended up in the role.
He started with a joke, saying, “I've been sleeping with her,” adding, “I'm not saying she's enjoying sleeping together, but I'm just saying I am.”
However, she explained that casting Lively was a spontaneous decision, noting, “Yeah, it was one of those things where you're like, 'Well, why not?' I mean, go ahead, of course. I mean, we're all there together anyway. Let's go crazy,” she recalled, adding, “It was a lot of fun.”
“Yeah, she loved it. And she's one of the funniest people I know,” the actor said, praising Lively's performance.
Deadpool & Wolverine, released on July 26, has broken box office records. The film is expected to gross $1.2 billion.
