Prince Harry's 'hand grenades' show a new side to King Charles

King Charles has apparently put aside his mother Queen Elizabeth's efforts to keep Prince Harry together.

Her Majesty evicting the Duke of Sussex from his Frogmore Cottage abode went against her mother's wishes to mend the rift with Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Historian Tessa Dunlop told the Mirror: “Britain's response to the news has been, by and large, gleeful. In one sense, the vitriol is understandable.

“Prince Harry had just lobbed several verbal grenades at his family and the long-standing institution to which he belonged. But he did so from a position of weakness, from the outside, in pain and feeling marginalised. A broad-shouldered, self-assured monarchy would have weathered the storm. Instead, by expelling the couple from the Queen's generous gift of Frogmore Cottage, King Charles is going directly against Her late Majesty's conciliatory style.

He added: “Worse still, he has mixed up the Sussex issue with that of Prince Andrew by asking the latter to give up his largest home, the Royal Lodge, and move to Frogmore Cottage. Big mistake. The image is terrible.”
