Prince Andrew is adamant about keeping his royal abode to himself, despite King Charles' insistence on leaving.
The Duke of York, who is apparently being asked to leave The Royal Lodge in Windsor amid growing financial restrictions within the monarchy, is resisting King's orders.
A Palace source tells The Sun: “Prince Andrew is standing firm and determined to remain in the Royal Lodge.
“He insists he has the funds to pay for his own security, despite the huge seven-figure sum it is reportedly costing him.
“He is no longer a financial burden on the King and sees no reason why he should move from his home.”
Meanwhile, royal author Hugo Vickers reveals: “Andrew has been expelled from everything else and takes on no royal duties.”
“He does nothing with regiments or charities or participates in public life in any way.”
“Though I don't think the King is being vindictive.”
