Users can expect a broader rollout of the new filter that lets them quickly locate favorite chats, groups and calls, according to Zuckerberg's announcement on his official WhatsApp channel.

This update allows users to easily access their most important conversations, both one-on-one and group, directly from the chats tab.

Additionally, another filter is now available within the calls tab to allow users to quickly locate their favorites, allowing for easy calling with just one tap.

How to use the new WhatsApp filter?

There are multiple methods that allow users to mark chats and groups as favorites, Information from WABeta reported.

  • Users can add chats and groups to their favorites by accessing the “Favorites” tab within the chat list.
  • You can designate specific contacts and groups as favorites directly from the chat info or call tab.
  • Users can also manage their favorites within the app settings, where they can easily add, organize, and delete them.

The feature is available for Android and iOS users.
