Margot Robbie has her say on the ‘shocking’ bathtub scene in ‘Saltburn’ starring Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan

Margot Robbie recently expressed her opinion on salty burn and her bathtub scene that surprised viewers.

Directed by Emerald Fennell, the Amazon Prime film stars Barry Keoghan as Oliver, an Oxford University student, who befriends a rich boy named Felix, played by Jacob Elordi.

Things take a turn when Oliver decides to spend the summer with Felix’s family at a mansion called Saltburn and tries to get to know him on a more personal level.

While many were shocked by the film’s “shocking” bathtub scene, actress and producer Margot Robbie says she wasn’t left speechless.

In a new interview, Australian-born Margot told the Mirror: “It didn’t seem that impactful in the script, because Emerald immerses you in a world very quickly.”

Praising the 38-year-old filmmaker, the Barbie The star added: “She is [Emerald] so masterful in tone and plot. She gets into you so quickly that you immediately say, ‘I’m in this world.’ So when you get to something like the bathtub scene, she’s already prepared you for it.”

Margot added that she thinks Emerald’s script was “intentionally disgusting and satisfying.”

“I think she wanted you to be as disgusted as she was excited, and as surprised as you were to find that depravity in yourself,” he concluded.
