Lupita Nyong'o reflects on Chadwick Boseman's pain

Years passed, but still, Lupita Nyong'o became emotional when talking about her black panther co-star Chadwick Boseman.

This shows the level of his love for the late actor, as he opens up while watching the clip from the MCU film at the BFI London Film Festival.

“I have to admit, I haven't seen the movie since Chadwick died, so I'm having a moment.”

He continued: “Pain is simply love without a place to express it. I don't run from the tears of pain. You just live with it. That experience will never be separate from the love that was formed.”

“I look at this clip and I feel very sad,” said the Oscar winner. “I don't know if I'll ever stop crying over losing my friend. But I think, 'We get to see him alive.' And that's so wonderful.”

Previously, Lupita, with the same warmth, posted a moving tribute on the fourth anniversary of Chadwick's death.

“'The pain never ends,'” he began. “'But it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Pain is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith. It is the price of love.'”

“Remembering Chadwick Boseman. Forever,” concluded the post about his co-star, who died of colon cancer in 2020.
