Kate Middleton has been called “tougher” than her sister-in-law Meghan Markle when it comes to handling rumors and backlash.
This comes as Kate is going through a difficult period amid her recovery from abdominal surgery and rumors surrounding her health and whereabouts.
Royal author Tom Quinn has praised the Princess of Wales' courage when it comes to rumours. “Kate is much better at absorbing the punches than Meghan,” he said. Mirror.
“Meghan always seemed like a tough, feisty woman, but in reality Kate, in many ways, is tougher. “Meghan screams and screams while Kate, at least so far, has taken it all in stride,” she added.
Princess Kate has remained silent amid global rumors about her health and even her marriage to the Prince of Wales.
Meghan, on the other hand, has a history of responding to rumors and criticism. Earlier this year, the Sussexes said they “won't be torn apart” by the scrutiny they faced at the start of the new year, which for them was branded a “make or break” year.
“Kate's recent operation and her suspiciously long recovery period have as much to do with the stress of being a royal for a long period – with all the self-control it demands – as it does with the severity of her surgery,” Quinn explained.
“She's definitely taken more time than is strictly necessary; she just needs a break from being the center of so much attention while trying to live a private life with her children,” he concluded.
