Kate Beckinsale's Fourth of July holiday turned out to be an unfortunate day, but it had a happy ending.
The 50-year-old actress took to her official Instagram account on Thursday and posted that her lost pet, named Myf, ran away due to the fireworks.
She shared a post about her missing Pomeranian: “Myf has gone missing. If anyone finds her in the Beverly Hills area please DM me. Thank you so much.”
After an hour, Beckinsale shared the good news that she had found her puppy.
“OMG we found her. @joe_rome is out here saving everyone,” she wrote in the caption of a video featuring Myf.
But unfortunately, during the search, he suffered a knee injury: “It's back, oops, I hurt my knee really bad… Oh my God, you scared the hell out of us. Fuck the 4th of July, Joe… Jesus Christ,” he said in the clip.
“What do you have to say in your defense?” he asked his pet as he turned the camera toward him.
In another Instagram story, she explained: “Myf you're okay oh Myf it turns out you don't like fireworks!” she said, before showing her followers her injuries again.
Pointing to her previous pet cat, who died a year ago, she noted: “I think when Clive was here, Clive didn't give a shit about fireworks, so Myf didn't care either.”
