Johnny Depp recently paid tribute to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides co-star, Tamayo Perry.
For those who don't know, Tamayo Perry lost the battle of his life to a shark attack in June 2024.
Remembering his co-star, Amber Heard's ex-husband wrote: “Although it's been a few years, I remember Tamayo well. A lovely man, with a big heart and a zest for life…”
He also added a brief note for Tamayo's wife: “Emilia, I send you all my love and strength. You are in my thoughts.”
This comes after an insider shared with Lifestyle that the heads of Pirates of the Caribbean I have noticed Margot Robbie's success. Barbieand now they want her to take on a new project to take over their franchise.
“Austin Butler and his team's interest in the franchise has come at exactly the right time, and that doesn't necessarily mean the end of Margot's involvement or even Johnny's return,” the source added at the time.
“The appeal of someone like Austin is that he can completely transform himself into a character, and he has the potential to create something as unforgettable as Johnny’s work in the first film 21 years ago. Plus, he’s proven himself with accents, action and even weird comedy,” the source concluded.
