At the next DC tent, Superman: legacyJames Gunn clarifies one key thing about the reboot: it won't be an origin story.
“None,” was the answer given by the new studio boss, after a fan asked him on Threads how much the film would cover the origin story of Kryptonite's son.
As far as the film's official logline goes, it said, Superman: Legacy “tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.”
He added: “He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that views kindness as old-fashioned.”
