Jason Kelce retired from the NFL and was involved in other post-retirement activities, despite this, he admits to being sad and acknowledges that he may face depression as time goes on.
in a talk with TodayThe Philadelphia Eagles player weighed in on his previous statement that after leaving the league “everyone goes through a level of depression.”
He now says he's not “in depression right now, yet,” but added, “I think it's going to set in,” noting, “There's a state of depression; I don't know if it's full-blown depression.” But in my case, right now I only experience sadness here and there.”
However, Jason is “excited about what life after football will be like,” adding: “There's a family to raise and girls growing up, every day. But there's no doubt that something feels missing.”
He continued: “I feel like there's a part of me for the last 13 years that every day I've talked to (Eagles offensive line coach) Jeff Stoutland and the different teammates in our building, and we've worked out different things that we're trying to improve.”
