Is Chris Evans smartly trashing current superhero movies?

Chris Evans as Captain America was the face of the best superhero movies of all time. But it seems Soldier Boy isn't a fan of what the genre currently has to offer. But he apparently expressed it evasively.

Appearing at Emerald City Comic Con, the actor shared his thoughts on the recently released superhero movies.

“[Making superhero films isn’t easy]. If it were easy, there would be many more good ones, without trying to cast shade. “Some Marvel projects are objectively phenomenal movies,” he said.

Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that Chris has a role in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.

However, the 42-year-old previously spoke about whether he will reprise the role.

“It's hard because, look, I deeply love that role. He means a lot to me, and I really do. I think there are more Steve Rogers stories to tell, of course.”

He continued: “But at the same time, I'm very, very precious about it. I became, you know, this shiny little thing that I have and that I love so much, and I just don't want to mess it up in any way.”

“And I was a part of something that was so special for that special time period, and in a way, it really landed really well.”

“As much as I'm connected to that role and I love telling those stories and working with those people. I don't feel quite right right now.”
