Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly facing challenges in Hollywood.
Following recent reports about Meghan's attitude towards her staff and being labelled “the difficult duchess”, the couple's influence in Hollywood appears to be waning.
Additionally, their recent absence from the Emmys after-party hosted by WME talent agent Ari Emanuel, who represents Meghan, has also sparked speculation that they are losing their grip on the industry as they try to establish a post-royal career.
According MainOnline According to the report, sources have claimed that Meghan and Harry are feeling the “wrath of Hollywood” as executives grow frustrated with their inactivity.
Another source said they are “reaping schadenfreude with added venom,” indicating a growing disdain for the couple's approach to their careers.
While they do have new projects planned for Netflix, including Meghan's cooking show and Harry's polo exploration, these are their first endeavors in over a year.
One senior producer commented that “mainstream Hollywood never took them seriously,” suggesting that their production company Archewell felt more like a “brand-building exercise.”
“At the time, Netflix was handing out vanity deals like candy, so everyone just shrugged and assumed their company wouldn't accomplish much despite the generous backing,” the source said.
“But even Harry and Meghan's detractors would have been shocked at how little they have actually achieved. And in the more austere industry climate of 2024, when thousands have lost their jobs and the entertainment industry's economy is struggling, there is now genuine antipathy and distrust towards them from some,” they added.
