Daisy Edgar-Jones has addressed rumours of a romance between her and her Normal people co-starring Paul Mescal.
Edgar-Jones and Mescal played love interests in the hit 2020 show based on Sally Rooney's best-selling novel of the same name.
Since they began acting together, the duo remains close friends, and that gives fans hope for a real-life romance.
However the Tornadoes The star is dating artist Ben Seed. Regarding the rumors of a relationship with Mescal, she told UK Sunday time, “You really look at it in bewilderment, because it's interesting to see what narratives people write.”
“They’re usually pretty harmless and when they see me, they’re usually just like, ‘Oh, is that Whatsherface?’ And I’m like, ‘It is,’” she added.
This comes after the duo attended the Glastonbury festival together.
The best friends have already praised their friendship, with Mescal saying: “I've definitely found a friend, one of my best friends for life.”
“If the show had been an absolute failure, that is something that gives me enormous joy, to have found someone who is an incredible person and who I really enjoy working with,” she added in a 2020 interview with Deadline.
In May, Edgar-Jones herself admitted to having “fallen in love” with Mecal.
“I met Paul, I fell in love with him… as a friend. I am announcing it here,” she said at the Fastnet Film Festival.
