Football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly added another gem to his extensive property collection by purchasing a mega-mansion on Dubai’s opulent ‘Billionaire Island’.

The Al-Nassr superstar, who dominated 2023 as the world’s top scorer and earns an annual salary of £175 million with the Saudi club, will be honored at the upcoming Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, the city where he will now have a new home.

According BloombergRonaldo’s new residence is situated on the island in Jumeirah Bay, commonly known as ‘Billionaire Island’, a secluded enclave that caters to the ultra-rich.

While specific details about the mansion have yet to be revealed, it is rumored to come with a hefty price tag, estimated to be in the tens of millions of euros.

The ‘Billionaire Island’ earned its nickname due to its concentration of billionaires per square kilometer, surpassing other places in the United Arab Emirates.

The island, known for being home to wealthy residents from Saudi Arabia, Israel, India and Russia, boasts extravagant properties, including a mansion for sale with six bedrooms, access to a private beach, a car showroom, a spa and a Pool with views of the city center. Developed by Palace Luxury Living, the island has seen the construction of 10 mega-mansions, with each property estimated to sell for $545 million (£430 million) combined.

Ronaldo’s acquisition aligns with a trend among Saudi Pro League stars, who often reside in spacious villas or luxury hotels.

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, just a two-hour flight away, Ronaldo is expected to share his luxurious retreat with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children.

While the football maestro continues to rack up accolades on the field, his off-field investments reflect a penchant for acquiring prime real estate in the world’s most exclusive locations.
