Carrie Underwood performs in the downpour. But did she fall?

A small torrential downpour didn't stop Carrie Underwood from performing in South Carolina on Sunday.

The country music star, who headlined the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, ended the flashy show with a bang and an apparent fall, if any social media videos are to be believed.

According to footage obtained by TMZ, the soaked “Before He Cheats” singer concluded the concert with her 2006 revenge anthem and, as she exited the surely slippery stage, appeared to clumsily sink into a hole while descending the stairs at the back of the stage. . Someone in the crowd can be heard saying “she fell” in the clip, although it is unclear if she actually did it.

The “American Idol” winner appeared to address the extreme weather but did not mention the apparent stumble in a Monday post on Instagram.

“Well, last night was a lot of fun! And although the ending was quite unexpected, it was a night we will never forget! 🌧️💧☔️ Thank you for being amazing, #MyrtleBeach!!!” she wrote. Then, sharing a clip of the rain-lashed finale, she added: “We won't let a little rain stop us! We won't let a massive downpour stop us either! … #Singing in the rain”

Underwood's loyal followers praised the performance in the comments section of her posts.

“The fact that IT ONLY RAINED FOR THE LAST SONG is so iconic,” one fan wrote.

“The show must go on!! I hope the fall wasn't that bad,” wrote another.

“This lady is committed to her fans! It doesn't matter. That. And her band is amazing! said another commenter.

“Central memory activated. An ending we will talk about for a while,” wrote another follower.

It is unclear if Underwood was injured during the outing. A spokesperson for the country superstar did not immediately respond Tuesday to The Times' request for comment.

The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Blown Away” singer fell on stage in 2013 when her high heel caught on the back of her long, flowy top. Her movement caused her to fall to the ground and bounce on her butt, after which she spoke about the incident on social media.

“Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage? “Funny!” she wrote At the time. “Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #clumsiness”

In January, the singer opened up about a fall at home in November 2017 that ended up giving her between 40 and 50 stitches above her lip, inside and outside her mouth. Underwood said she missed a step and tripped while walking her dog, breaking her wrist and injuring her face. She later told her fans that she “might look a little different,” but she assured them that she was “doing great” after the “hard fall” and wrist surgery.

Some speculated that Underwood had undergone plastic surgery, which left her with scarring around her lip, but she dismissed this in a 2018 Redbook interview, saying, “I'm in a magazine every two weeks for something crazy. It's a little sad, because the truth is just as interesting.”

That same year, Underwood shared that she had contracted a virus that landed her in a German hospital and forced her to cancel appearances in the United Kingdom.

“Basically, I had something go viral and [when] I woke up, I had vertigo and I couldn't get up and it was crazy,” he said on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” in 2018. “I ended up in [a] German hospital for three days.”

“I don't cancel shows, I'll crawl on stage if I have the flu or whatever,” said the singer, who was pregnant with her second child at the time.

Plastic surgery speculation resurfaced late last month when Underwood posed for a photo with rapper Ludacris in Las Vegas, where both artists are headlining residencies.

In the comments to the snapshot, fans said they didn't recognize Underwood or criticized her for supposedly doing a “terrible job.” One user said that she “looks totally different…not just the clothes but also the facial features” and another wrote that she “really needs to put off plastic surgeries.”

Others, however, came to his defense.

“Hey… don't come here if you're going to disrespect Queen Carrie… the woman with a voice so powerful she can make you cry with ballads and make you rock all in one night,” reads one of the top comments “She's so versatile it's unreal! Regarding her appearance? She is🔥and that's it. If you don't have anything good to say, don't you?” mother?
