Ben Affleck has shelled out a hefty sum for his new Los Angeles home after reportedly “hating” his Beverly Hills home.
The purchase comes shortly after the luxury mansion, which spans more than 38,000 square feet and includes 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, was put up for sale.
People with knowledge of the matter said: Daily Mail The couple who jointly purchased the property did not want to continue living there.
“Jennifer and Ben decided to sell their house because neither they nor their children felt like it was their home,” the insider said. “It was too big and sometimes the open space made them feel unsafe and even though they have 24-hour security, something didn’t feel right.”
Describing the Oscar winner's views on the mansion, the source said he “hated the house more than” J.Lo and that marital problems between them sealed the fate of the property.
Furthermore, the source said: “The amount of money it cost just for utilities for that house was astronomical.”
