Reported to gross $8 million in one day, AMC Theater boss Adam Aron weighed in on the long-awaited film's prospects.
“It opens July 25. Some 200,000 movie fans have already purchased their tickets for AMC. That's more day 1 ticket sales at AMC than for any other R-rated movie.”

“I hope that doesn't sound condescending, I'm really proud of them for doing this. I think it's a big step for them,” he told Fandango.

The actor noted, “Although I was surprised that they let us go as hard as R, but I'm very grateful. I mean, there's no other way to do it.”
