Ariana Madix sues Tom Sandoval over his Los Angeles home

The couple at the center of “Scandoval” heads to court.

“Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix is suing her ex-boyfriend (and roommate?) Tom Sandoval over their Los Angeles home. The feuding ex-lovers co-own the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath modern farmhouse-style home in Valley Village, and still lived there together until recently.

Madix filed suit against Sandoval in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday and, according to court documents obtained by The Times, wants to sell the house and split the money. He asked the court to approve a partition by sale, meaning they would sell the property and give each owner a share of the profits. He specifically asked to avoid an “in-kind division,” which is typically not practical in a single-family home, since the real estate and land would be divided, giving each individual ownership of a fraction of it.

Basically, she’s asking the judge to approve her request so they can sell the house they bought together in 2019 for just over $2 million. (It’s worth a lot more now).

In March, People reported that Sandoval, 40, and Madix, 38, had split after nine years together. At the center of their breakup was Sandoval’s romance with fellow reality star Raquel Leviss, 29, which unfolded during a volatile and salacious season of “Vanderpump Rules” and dominated gossip headlines for months in 2023.

In May 2023, Madix was seen outside the house with moving boxes in tow, and while many outlets reported that it looked like she was moving amid the drama, it was eventually revealed to be a publicity move for a brand partnership with SoFi. . While Madix and Sandoval have been dating for almost a year, they were apparently just dodging each other inside their house. She told The Times last year that they “don’t cross paths” as they stayed in separate rooms and communicated through “a third party.”

“I pay a considerable mortgage. We’re 50/50 on that. And I’m not going to shell out any more money for someone else’s shit,” she said. “And I have my dog and my cat and I’m not going to leave them there alone.”

Then in December, Madix told Andy Cohen on “What What Happens Live” that while working on “Dancing With the Stars,” she was staying at an Airbnb with her pets. Madix said she regularly goes back and forth between her rental home and the home in Valley Village, but she is eager to sell the property. Sandoval, however, does not want to part with the house, she said, hence the lawsuit.
