Apple Music to open a new study in Culver City

Apple Music said on Monday that it will open a three -story study in Culver City this summer that will have a 4,000 square feet sound scenario for live performances and fans events.

“With this new study, we are promoting our commitment to create a space for artists to believe, connect and share their vision,” said Rachel Newman, Apple Music Codirrote, in a statement.

The installation covers more than 15,000 square feet and includes two radio studies for interviews and live performances, a space audio mix room, composition and podcasting cabins, and rooms to help artists create content, Apple said in a publication on the study.

The installation is located in Culver City in the neighborhood of the Hayden tract. Los Angeles architect Eric Oric Moss, known for his distinctive and sculptural structures in all Los Angeles, designed the building that houses the new study. Apple did not provide an exact date for the opening of the study.

The new space shows how Apple, based in Cupertino, California, has been expanding its real estate footprint in southern California, since it pushes even more towards the entertainment industry.

The technological giant is building a new offices complex on the border of Culver City and Los Angeles that is expected to house the Apple TV+television transmission service.

As technology, including frenzy around artificial intelligence, continues to remodel the way musicians and filmmakers tell stories, technological companies emphasize that they want to support creativity.

Last year, Apple apologized after an iPad Pro announcement that showed a hydraulic press crushing musical instruments such as a piano and other creative tools before the thin device was revealed, caused a violent reaction. While the commercial exhibited the thinner product of Apple, some critics saw it as a symbol of technology that destroys creativity.

Apple said the new study will serve as an anchor for a global network of creative centers that are already open in New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris and Nashville. The company said it plans to open more studies soon.

Apple also announced that, as part of its 10 -year celebration, Apple Music Radio as of July 1 will begin counting the 500 most transmitted songs of the service. Apple Music is also launching a way for their listeners to see and transmit the songs that have played the most since they joined the service in a reproduction list of “reproducing all time.”
