KARACHI: Another flight attendant of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) escaped in Canada from a Toronto-bound flight.
PIA spokesperson confirmed that flight attendant Jibran Baloch had withdrawn from the flight and said that measures taken to stop the series of incidents of missing flight crew members in Canada proved unsuccessful. PIA officials were working in coordination with Toronto police to stop the slipping process of their crew members.
PIA sources said presentation of flight personnel's passports to officials also did not bear fruit. They said the flight attendant who was performing her duties on PK-782 on February 29 did not return home.
Baloch was the second flight attendant to disappear in Canada in a week supposedly to claim citizenship, they said, adding that a flight attendant also disappeared mid-air the same week from a hotel. The flight attendant reportedly left a note thanking the national flag carrier.
About 10 flight attendants assigned to Toronto-bound flights have gone missing in two years.
