Google has unveiled its first test version of new software for Android that will give users a revolutionary update that stops their phone from constantly pinging with notifications.

The update, which will be released later this year, follows a surprise update introduced earlier by the technology company that allows users to edit messages. The US Sun reported.

Tech enthusiasts have discovered a new feature in the Android 15 beta called “Notification Cooling,” which is ideal for those who have experienced excessive alerts from the same source, such as multiple WhatsApp messages or heavy-duty emails. .

According to the feature description, the tool reduces the number of notifications that ping your phone all at once by “gradually reducing the volume of notifications when you receive many successive notifications from the same app.”

It offers three options: apply to all notifications, apply to conversations or disable it.

The Android Authority website revealed the upcoming feature and described it as a “game changer.”

“What will happen to me!” one user joked. “I'm that guy who does it.”

Another added: “I just need this because my kids don't seem to understand how to put more than one sentence in a text.”

Android 15, codenamed Vanilla Ice Cream, will introduce numerous new features and design changes, and the first beta provides a preview of what we can expect.

Some of the updates that are likely in the works include partial screen sharing, more in-app camera controls, and the return of lock screen widgets.
